Instructor Bruce Ward works on a letter of a soft-clay model of the Pat Tillman Veterans Center logo on a large wooden board on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the School of Art’s warehouse. Half a dozen veterans affiliated with the Uniiversity, are working on the sculptures that will be cast in resin-coated sand and then have molten iron poured into the form. The final stage will be adding a colored patina to the sculptures. The program is run by Ward, a veteran and ASU BFA alumnus working with the Pat Tillman Veterans Center and assisted by ASU art faculty. Photo by Charlie Leight/ASU News
