Visitors mill around the life-size model of the Psyche probe, Wednesday, July 13, 2022, in the lobby of ISTB4. A dozen ASU students are building an interactive demonstration version of the spacecraft that is designed to explore a metallic asteroid. Some of the system they are highlighting are Communications, Spacecraft, Navigation, Videos and a rotatable 3-D model of the actual spacecraft. They expect to install the mockup in mid-July. The life-size model will be center around the nine-foot cube and have solar panels the length of a tennis court and will hang from the first-floor ceiling of the SESE building.
