Project lead Keno Snyder with Rhino Staging & Events Solutions, shows a schematic of the life-size model of the Psyche probe Monday, July 18, 2022, in the lobby of ISTB4. The spacecraft will be suspended from the second-floor ceiling above the lobby and have a nine-foot cube probe and aluminum frames representing the large solar panels. The craft’s 78-foot length is similar to a tennis court. A dozen ASU students helped build an interactive demonstration version of the probe designed to explore a metallic asteroid. Some of the systems they highlight are Communications, Spacecraft, Navigation, Videos and a rotatable 3-D model of the actual craft. Photo by Charlie Leight/ASU News
