MESA - Feb. 9, 2018 - ASU Now - Hyperloop - Computer Science freshman Daren Hammer, right, and other members of the software controls team, looks over specification documents at the first AZLoop meeting, Friday, Feb. 9, 2018, after the announcement the team has been selected to proceed to the final round of the 2018 Hyperloop Pod Competition. The Polytechnic-based team will be competing with a completely new pod this year, one with a carbon fiber chassis, and will be judged on one criterion - maximum speed with successful deceleration.
