DownloadTEMPE - September 23, 2019 - ASU Now - Desert Sounds Salon - Adam Nocek, an assistant professor in the philosophy of technology and science and technology studies in the School of Arts, Media and Engineering speaks at the Desert Humanities Initiative's "Desert sounds vinyl album and salon" opening, Monday, September 23, 2019. The two-part event featured poetry by Rice University professor Tim Morton and a visual/sonic presentation of the desert by Belgium artists Maja Kuzmanovic and Nik Gaffney, who spent two years collecting artifacts and sounds of the desert.
