Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law Dean Stacy Leeds chats with guests at the opening of the Museum of Democracy exhibit “We the People! Electing the American President” on Monday evening, December 2, 2024, at the College of Law in downtown Phoenix. The display featured memorabilia from the first campaign buttons promoting George Washington’s 1789 inauguration through last month’s election. The exhibition is part of the Arizona Board of Regents’ Presidential Project. This civic education program fosters knowledge of American presidencies and presidential elections among law students, undergraduates, high school students, and the wider community. Each of the state’s three public universities will house exhibits from the Museum of Democracy collection at Long Island University, which are free to the public. Photo by Charlie Leight/ASU News
