TEMPE - January 13, 2020 - ASU Now - Preciadas Cartas - Three ASU professors created and co-edited the book, "Preciadas Cartas." It is a compilation of letters from nearly 50 years between three Spanish-speaking women: Victoria Ocampo, left, Gabriela Mistral and Victoria Kent. The letters range from 1932-1979. The task of finding and dating them and then translating them is fascinating by itself, as is the insight these previously unpublished letters give us into the lives of Spanish-speaking, LGBTQ women in the mid-1900s. The ASU profs' friendship mirrors that of the women who wrote the letters to take this story to another level.
