PHOENIX - Dec. 15, 2017 - ASU Now - Pop-up Global Market - Debbie Grant, with the City of Phoenix, looks over some Syrian sweets that she's about to buy from Rodain Abo Zeed, at the pop-up Global Market in the Phoenix City Hall, on Friday, Dec. 15, 2017. Interns from the Office of Global Social Work at ASU, have been working with Iraqi, Syrian and central African refugees, within three groups to create the markets: Phoenix Syrian Sweets Exchange, Refugee and Immigrants Community for Empowerment and the American Muslim Women's Association of Arizona.
