ASU African and African American Faculty and Staff Association co-leader Colleen Jennings-Roggensack takes notes at the ASU LIFT Summit 2023, Monday, August 21, 2023, at the Mountain America Stadium San Tan Ford room. In 2020, ASU committed to a series of actions known as the LIFT (Listen, Invest, Facilitate, Teach) Initiative. These actions respond to an accumulation of ideas and public comments from ASU’s students, faculty and staff. A university-wide effort launched to address social transformation in the spirit of ASU’s charter, to implementing 25 actions designed to support Black faculty, staff and students at ASU.
