Stella Rouse joined Arizona State University in July as the new director of the Hispanic Research Center and a professor in the School of Politics and Global Studies. She came from the University of Maryland and served in various leadership positions while teaching. Rouse’s most recent position was as the director of the Center for Democracy and Civic Engagement from 2019 to 2022. She appreciates the outdoors, exploring parks and trails, walking, hiking, exercising and going to sporting events.
