ASU Now - HPV Awareness
DownloadPHOENIX - April 4, 2018 - ASU Now - HPV Awareness - Associate Professor, and principal investigator, Angela Chen demonstrates, at a Maricopa County Public Health Clinic in Phoenix, how she talks with parents about HPV and its vaccine, as part of a study on the efficacy of the STD awareness program to combat the virus-associated cancers. HPV infection is the most common sexually transmitted infection in the U.S.; the infection rate is as high as 50 percent in sexually active individuals under age of 25. The study targets Latino adolescent boys and girls to maximize the benefit of HPV vaccines and prevention efforts. Photo by Charlie Leight/ASU Now
