TEMPE - July 31, 2017 - ASU Now - Tooker House - The Tempe campus' new Tooker House is designed to be attractive and energy efficient. The new residence hall for Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering students features plenty of high-tech amenities including two e-space classrooms outfitted for engineers provide a collaborative environment where students can work on projects, develop new technologies and use maker tools like 3D printers and laser cutters. Students can receive a free Amazon Echo Dot and will be provided with Alexa Skills Kits (ASKs) - a collection of application program interfaces (APIs), tools, documentation and code examples - so they can design and build their own voice-activated skills applications. They'll have high-speed Wi-Fi throughout, in addition to the connected laundry areas, workout facility and dining hall. Students will start moving into the House on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017.
