TEMPE - May 5, 2017 - ASU Now - Pyracantha Press - Recently printed samples dry in ASU's printmaking annex on Friday, May 5, 2017. Daniel Mayer, director of Pyracantha Press, is collaborating with Regents Ceramics Prof. Kurt Weiser on a series of 2' x 3' linoleum cuts and visual accordion books, 4.5 x 6”, that are cut and shaped from the prints. Weiser produces the images on linoleum block. Mayer makes prints, which are then cut into six-inch strips. An early mock-up of accordion structure measures 12’ long. Photo by Charlie Leight/ASU Now
