TEMPE - July 9, 2020 - ASU Now - COVID Testing - Carlos Mendoza, with ASU EMS, scans the QR code on the phone of Irene Mendoza as she completes the testing demonstration at one of seven ASU employee COVID-19 virus testing sites, Thursday, July 9, 2020. The ASU Biodesign Institute, the first in Arizona to develop a saliva-based SARS-CoV-2 test, facilitates the screening, with results usually are available 24 to 48 hours. The test is available at no cost to faculty, students and staff. The two are not related.
