Recently retired NFL receiver Emmanuel Sanders joins others in a panel discussion following the NFL Network documentary profiling pioneering quarterback and coach Jimmy Raye Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at the Media and Immersive eXperience (MIX) Center in downtown Mesa. Sanders interviewed Raye and toured the South with Raye for the movie. Around 200 members of the NFL, family members and guests came to watch the NFL 360 show, “The Indelible Legacy of Jimmy Raye.” The documentary highlighted his journey from the Jim Crow laws to being the first Black quarterback from the South to win a national championship to the NFL as a player then as a coach.
