The newly renovated Durham Hall modernizes, maximizes and enhances the existing spaces for students to connect, collaborate and learn while improving overall accessibility, technology, and comfort. The upgraded six-story, 52,000-square-foot tower houses departments that focus on advancing global research through The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. They include Arizona Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies; Center for Asian Research; Center for Public Humanities; Center for the Imagination in the Borderlands; Center for the Study of Race and Democracy; Chinese Language Flagship Center; Council for Arabic and Islamic Studies; Humanities Lab; Melikian Center; School of International Letters and Cultures; and the Thousand Languages Project.
