India Schneider-Crease, an assistant professor in the School of Human Evolution and Social Change and the Center for Evolution and Medicine speaks about her team’s “Recycling as a Tool for Community Empowerment in Rural Ethiopia” at ASU’s Moonshot Accelerator judged team pitch practice on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, in the Lincoln Conference Room in the Fulton Center. The team is developing pathways for people living in poverty around Ethiopia’s national parks to profit from recycled plastic discarded within the parks.The initial cohort of eight teams of faculty and staff presented their ongoing research in areas ranging from lifelong education programs to local and international sustainability.
