Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community Vice President Ricardo Leonard sings "Two Rivers," the Gila and Salt rivers, during the celebration of the new community table at Hayden Library’s Labriola National American Indian Data Center, Monday, November 22, 2021. The 25ft x5ft O'odham Storytelling Table: Designs from the River, and its chairs were created by architectural designer Selina Martinez, (Yaqui) and crafted artist Jeffrey Fulwilder, (Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community), in partnership with the ASU Indigenous Design Collaborative. The celebration brought together administrators and leaders of local Indian communities, to honor a community-building table for future generations of Indigenous People.
