Armstrong Hall, formerly home to the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, now houses the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and is located on the southwest corner of Terrace and McAllister. Armstrong Hall is CLAS’ first stand-alone building since it was founded in 1954. The largest college at ASU, Liberal Arts and Sciences is home to 23 academic units and 40 research centers. It features an interdisciplinary blend of programs in the humanities, natural sciences and social sciences. Armstrong Hall is named for John S. Armstrong, who was instrumental in supporting the founding of Tempe Normal School in the Arizona legislature. Photo by Charlie Leight/Arizona State University
