Veronica Ivy, a transgender track cycling champion athlete, addresses myths, misconceptions and outright lies bout trans and intersex women athletes in women’s sports during Project Humanities’ “Dispelling the Myths: Transgender Athletes and Sports,” during an online presentation, Thursday, August 12, 2021. She dispelled the believe that there is a connection between testosterone and sport performance among all athletes. Ivy also addressed the current anti-gender political and social climate. Scott Brooks, of the Global Sports Institute, continued the discussion following her presentation and facilitated questions from the chat room.
