EnKoat's EnBase is has a blue pigment and is applied 40 wet mils thick. When it drys a day later, a 20 wet mils thick layer of white EnFlex is spread on top of it. EnKoat’s two-stage thermal and weather barrier system currently applied to flat roofs. It is an ASU spin-off company founded by Aashay Arora and Matthew Aguayo under the guidance of Professor Narayanan Neithalath. At the same time, they worked on their doctoral programs in structural and materials engineering. They are partnering with SRP to measure and analyze the heat differences between roofing areas with their “IntelliKoat” coatings and those without. IntelliKoat™ is EnKoat's proprietary blend of thermal regulating additives specifically designed to achieve maximum thermal regulating performance while adding sealant and durability to prolong the life of flat roofs.
