TEMPE - May 5, 2017 - ASU Now - Pyracantha Press - Regents Ceramics Prof. Kurt Weiser talks about the new element in his art in ASU's printmaking annex on Friday, May 5, 2017. Daniel Mayer, director of Pyracantha Press, is collaborating with Weiser on a series of 2' x 3' linoleum cuts and visual accordion books, 4.5 x 6”, that are cut and shaped from the prints. Weiser produces the images on linoleum block. Mayer makes prints, which are then cut into six-inch strips. An early mock-up of accordion structure measures 12’ long. Photo by Charlie Leight/ASU Now
