To measure monsoon storm development over the Santa Catalina mountains, the University of Wyoming Beech King Air has hung an array of instruments all over an airplane, on June 27, 2006. Arizona State University's Global Institute of Sustainability is leading research in monsoon storm development with the help of the University of Arizona and the University of Wyoming. Researchers will gather data which will allow them to build accurate representations of the very beginnings of the monsoon storms. (Tom Story/ASU)
