ASU Now - Virtual Field Trips
DownloadTEMPE - April 8, 2020 - ASU Now - Virtual Field Trips - The Virtual Field Trip on the ancient lake environments of the Knossos Locality in Australia explores the 2.73-billion-year-old rocks of volcanic ash and limestone. It is a succession of clastic and carbonate rock outcroppings along the southern margin of the Pilbara Craton in Western Australia. The field trips are topic-based interactive and educationally rich experiences captured during real expeditions with scientists doing current research. ASU's School of Earth & Space Exploration, School of Human Evolution and Social Change and ASU Online joined in the project with NASA's Astrobiology Institute, MIT, the Australian Center for Astrobiology, The University of Hawaii and Smart Sparrow.
