Image fully released. Model release on file in College of Integrative Sciences and Arts.
Pedro Chavarria, a wildlife ecology lecturer, with the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts on the Polytechnic campus, shows his Intro to Wildlife Management Lab students how to cut away the plastic container without losing all the dirt, as he plants a prickly pear cactus near the burrowing owl habitat, Tuesday, September 28, 2021. The cactus will attract bugs and small food for the owls, yet it’s located far enough from the habitat to prevent predators from going unseen. Other students monitor the six habitats that were built in the spring. Photo by Charlie Leight/ASU News
