DownloadTEMPE - April 8, 2020 - ASU Now - Virtual Field Trips - There are six lab projects in the Virtual Field Trip on the Upheaval Dome near Moab, exploring the circular depression of folded and faulted rocks located in Canyonlands National Park, Utah. It is more than 3-miles in diameter and is estimated to be created less than170 years ago. How was it formed? The field trips are topic-based interactive and educationally rich experiences captured during real expeditions with scientists doing current research. ASU's School of Earth & Space Exploration, School of Human Evolution and Social Change and ASU Online joined in the project with NASA's Astrobiology Institute, MIT, the Australian Center for Astrobiology, The University of Hawaii and Smart Sparrow.
