Tribes received money from the CARES Act Provider Fund, and are figuring out how to utilize it within the time constraints best, to address issues with infrastructure and construction, broadband, healthcare and PPE needs. Panelists include Martin Havier, President of the Salt River Pima Indian Community; Jonathan Nez, President of the Navajo Nation; Larry Wright, Jr., Tribal Chair of the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska; Jacob Moore, Associate VP of Tribal Relations with the Office of Government and Community Engagement at ASU; Traci Morris; and Brian Howard, Research & Policy Analyst, American Indian Policy Institute; with co-moderators Marcus Denetdale, Program Manager, ASU CIIC; and James Murphy, CEO, Willmeng Construction.
