A Biomek i7 programmed to open sample tubes, extract saliva and transfer samples into a tray with wells in the ASU Biodesign Covid-19 Testing Lab, or ABCTL, on the ASU Tempe campus Wednesday afternoon December 16th, 2020. ASU Biodesign programmed the machine, developed special saliva sample tubes that can have their caps removed by the machine to increase the number of samples for testing.
