Design elements represent the earth and water, basket designs, and life in the desert, in the copper and blue-hued community table at Hayden Library’s Labriola National American Indian Data Center, Monday, November 22, 2021. The 25ft x5ft O'odham Storytelling Table: Designs from the River, and its chairs were created by architectural designer Selina Martinez, (Yaqui) and crafted artist Jeffrey Fulwilder, (Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community), in partnership with the ASU Indigenous Design Collaborative. The celebration brought together administrators and leaders of local Indian communities, to honor a community-building table for future generations of Indigenous People.
