MESA - July 8, 2019 - ASU Now - DBS Parkinsons - Sometimes the right word escapes retired commercial real estate developer Kimball Rogers as talks about his upcoming medical procedure, at his Mesa home, Monday, July 8, 2019. Kimball is scheduled to receive a deep brain stimulation implanted in two days at the Barrow Neurological Institute in hopes of lessening the symptoms of his Parkinson's disease. ASU neuroscience engineering associate Professor Bradley Greger will accompany the medical team during the procedure to gather more data in researching precisely what happens to the neural cells when targeted electrical impulses are applied.
