TEMPE - Dec. 9, 2015 - ASU Now - Emily Kaba - Graduating honors senior Emily Kaba following her interest in the evolution of rock formations and inspired by the Hole-in-the-Rock at Papago Park, asked how tafoni (holes in rocks) form. Among other findings, her research showed that tafoni display equifinality – that different processes can generate similar forms. The research will be submitted to the prestigious Earth Surface Processes and Landforms, a publication of the British Geomorphological Research Society.
