DownloadPHOENIX - May 2, 2019 - ASU Now - Food Insecurity - Patty Emmert, community relations and marketing manager at Duncan Family Farms in Buckeye, joins 50 others in listening to the discussion at the SIRC Issue Forum on food insecurity, Thursday, May 2, 2019, at the Verna McClain Wellness Center in Phoenix. Duncan farms, a long-time organic farm, works in part, to get healthy food to people who don't have access. The five panelists discussed nutritional research, food insecurity and public policies in South Phoenix. They talked about their efforts to create an environment within the public schools where children can eat and learn about whole and healthy foods, and then educate their families.
