Linda Johnson of the Arizona Department of Economic Security captures ideas in a working group session at the conference , Connecting the Dots: Domestic Violence – Child Welfare; One State, One System, held Friday (Sept. 9) at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. More than 400 people attended the conference, co-sponsored by the College of Law’s Diane Halle Center for Family Justice, Arizona’s courts and domestic violence and family organizations across the state. The group was given a call to action by U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor (ret.), who told the group that, “Arizona hasn’t done as much as we could do,” and urged them to “adjourn with resolve that we are all going to help.”
