GLENDALE - November 10, 2015 - ASU Now - Banner Thunderbird Medical Center - Cancer patient's art covers the walls at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center on Monday evening November 9th, 2015.
This piece by Diana reads:
My painting represents the life altering change brought about by a cancer diagnosis and how there is life after cancer. The bend in the tree represents cancer. That part of the tree is black and the sky is gray because that's what life feels like in the midst of cancer treatment. The torn part of the trunk and the red inside it represents both physical pain and the life inside. The top portion of the tree is green and full of flowers with a bright blue background, representing a stronger, more vibrant life after cancer.
