TEMPE - Mar. 26, 2016 - ASU Now - Formula SAE - Engine co-lead Mike Conard cuts a gasket to fit between the throttle body and the intake manifold for the Formula SAE race car on Saturday, Mar. 26, 2016. The engineering students have a week to minimally get the wheels on the vehicle before next Saturday’s IndyCar race at Phoenix International Raceway. The students have obtained a $10 million insurance policy to drive on the course, if they can complete the formula style car in the next few days. The team is also working on a PitchFunder campaign to raise money to get the team to Lincoln, Nebraska for the skills race where they’ll compete with other collegiate teams.
