The renovation goals of Durham Hall, on the Tempe campus, are to modernize, maximize and enhance the existing spaces for students to connect, collaborate and learn while improving overall accessibility, building technology, and comfort. The comprehensive exterior and interior upgrades effort ¬- six floors and basement - include new brick on exterior walls and updated windows, as well as the replacement of electrical, fire suppression, HVAC, plumbing, and construction of a new gurney-sized elevator. The existing telecommunication cabling and audio-visual equipment will be enhanced. This project provides an improved space for University Classrooms, the School of International Letters and Cultures, along with their associated research and outreach centers, and flexible office space.
