Image fully released. Model release on file in Media Relations & Strategic Communications.
Family members Ernie Sandez, left, Beatrice Sandez, Alexis Ibarra, 17, and Destiny Sandez, 7, snap pictures of Alexis' "Wildlife" ceramic tribute to Steve Irwin and his dedication to wild animals, at South Mountain High School’s “This is Too Much Art Show” opening Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at the ArtSpace West Gallery on ASU’s West Campus. Alexis hopes her passion for animals will lead her to a career in veterinary medicine. Around 100 9th-through-12th grade art students from “The Academies at South Mountain” presented their pieces to illustrate the present dilemmas and the kick-back hopes. The free exhibit is open to the public through February 23. Photo by Charlie Leight/ASU News
