ASU Now - Solar Eclipse
DownloadTEMPE - Aug. 21, 2017 - ASU Now - Solar Eclipse - Post doctoral scholar Kohei Kamada leisurely observes the moon's path in front of the sun as he and several hundred students, staff and members of the community gathered on the Hayden Lawn to witness the partial solar eclipse, Monday, Aug. 21, 2017. Viewed from the Tempe campus, the moon blocked out about 70 percent of the sun at its peak, about 10:33 AM. The School of Earth and Space Exploration supplied many pair of safe-viewing glasses. Some people used homemade devices so witness and recored the stellar event. Photo by Charlie Leight/ASU Now
