Nearly 40 chemical engineering students tour the South Tempe Water Treatment Plant as part of the ASU Project Cities program in collaboration with the City of Tempe on Friday, January 31, 2025. The students will work on capstone projects focusing on developing innovative strategies to divert water treatment solids — both inert and organic waste — from landfills to assist Tempe in achieving its sustainability goals.
