ASU Now - Preciadas Cartas

TEMPE - January 13, 2020 - ASU Now - Preciadas Cartas - Professors Cynthia Tompkins, left, Elizabeth Horan and Carmen de Urioste Azcorra created and co-edited the book, "Preciadas Cartas." It is a compilation of letters from nearly 50 years between three Spanish-speaking women. The letters range from 1932-1979. The task of finding and dating them and then translating them is fascinating by itself, as is the insight these previously unpublished letters give us into the lives of Spanish-speaking, LGBTQ women in the mid-1900s.
