Grandparents Paulette Welch and Joe Alvarado completed their Arizona State University BAs and MAs in Education, with Joe receiving his bachelor’s degree in 1976 and master’s in 1981. Paulette earned her bachelor’s in 1971 and her master’s degree in 1975. Mother Adriana Alvarado-Parsons earned her Cronkite degree 30 years later; and Uncle Emiliano Alvarado received his ASU digital marketing certificate.
