TEMPE - Mar. 8, 2016 - ASU Now - Formula SAE - Mechanical engineering senior Mike Walker uses a caliper to measure one of the two steering rack extensions for the Formula SAE race car, in the engineering machine shop on Tuesday, Mar. 8, 2016. Walker is drilling out part of the aluminum rod to reduce weight. After boring the extension, he’ll mill the opposite end to connect to the steering tie rods.
