Servers greeted guests with sparkling wine, Sunday, October 2, 2022, at the launch of the ASU California Center in the historic LA Herald Examiner building. Following a cocktail reception and dinner, Fox 11 Los Angeles news anchor and ASU alumna Christine Devine moderated a discussion with President Michael Crow and Co-Founder/CEO of the virtual reality company Dreamscape Immersive, Walter Parkes. Crow and Parkes discussed why ASU is growing its footprint in California, why innovation matters, and their new collaboration called Dreamscape Learn, an initiative to bring the power of virtual reality and Hollywood storytelling to the classroom.
