"A conversation with Colson Whitehead and Solmaz Sharif," takes place on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, during the 2021 Jonathan and Maxine Marshall Distinguished Lecture. The two discussed whether storytelling changes society, the author or nobody. Sharif is a creative writing asisstant professor at ASU. Whitehead's Pulitzer Prize winning book, “The Underground Railroad,” is being turned into a televised miniseries.
