Dorothy Jean Tillman II, applauds her classmates' academic accomplishments on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at the College of Health Solutions convocation at Desert Financial Arena on the Arizona State University Tempe campus. She is an award-winning tech and arts enthusiast, community activist and, at 18, one of the youngest to earn a doctoral degree. Tillman received her’s in behavioral health. She is named after her grandmother, Dorothy Jean Tillman, an American politician, civil rights activist and former Chicago alderman, who joined an entourage in celebrating the younger Tilman’s accomplishment.
