MESA - January 10, 2020 - ASU Now - ASU @ Mesa - President Michael Crow talks about the commitment the University made to the city at the groundbreaking of the new ASU @ Mesa City Center, in downtown Mesa, on Friday, January 10, 2020. The complex will train students in the transdisciplinary digital expertise necessary for careers in technology companies. The ASU Mesa location is scheduled to open in fall 2021. It will house the ASU Creative Futures Laboratory, including academic programs offered by the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts related to digital and sensory technology, experiential design, gaming, media arts, film production, and entrepreneurial development and support. It will also feature an Innovation Studio run by Entrepreneurship and Innovation that will provide a physical space for collaboration and also connect the startup community to the academic programs.
