TEMPE - September 23, 2019 - ASU Now - Desert Sounds Salon - English professor and event creator Ron Broglio talks with some attendees at the Desert Humanities Initiative's "Desert sounds vinyl album and salon" opening, Monday, September 23, 2019. The two-part event featured poetry by Rice University professor Tim Morton and a visual/sonic presentation of the desert by Belgium artists Maja Kuzmanovic and Nik Gaffney, who spent two years collecting artifacts and sounds of the desert.
