TEMPE - September 6, 2019 - ASU Now - Sergio Loza - Sergio Loza recently successfully defended his doctoral dissertation and is leaving the Valley for Eugene, where he'll be teaching at the University of Oregon. Loza, a first-generation student, completed both undergraduate and graduate work at ASU. He was part of the Spanish language heritage program. It was designed for bilingual students to polish their Spanish skills and knowledge of their cultural heritage in a productive, confidence-building learning environment.
