Former top Obama advisor and author Cecilia Muñoz discusses her recent book, “More Than Ready: Be Strong and Be You, and Other Lessons for Women of Color on the Rise,” sponsored by the School of Politics and Global Studies, Monday, October 25, 2021. She is a Senior Advisor at New America, a MacArthur “genius” fellow, and was head of National Council of la Raza (now UnidosUS) for many years. and is a brilliant and skilled leader and expert on Latino politics and policy, as well as general issues of equity. She discussed overcoming doubt, daring to be disliked and embracing kindness. After her talk, she answered questions moderated by School director and Professor Magda Hinojosa.
