ASU Now - sUAS Challenge
DownloadTEMPE - May 10, 2018 - ASU Now - sUAS Challenge - Team ASU FPV concentrates on finding survivors through their drone in the sUAS Innovation Challenge Fly-Off, a search-and-rescue mission for the team designed and built small Unmanned Aerial System, in a gym on the Tempe campus, Thursday, May 10, 2018. The team is (L-R) James George, junior in mechanical engineering, left; Sanket Ugile, graduate student in mechanical engineering; Shreyans Kedia, graduate student in mechanical engineering; pilot Ryan Davis, a recent graduate with aerospace and aeronautics engineering degrees; and Esteban Cruz, a recent biomedical engineering engineering graduate. The team is one of six competing in a simulated earthquake-ravaged city. The teams demonstrate their projects' utility and performance in finding survivors and victims in an urban setting.
